Bellingham & Gomez Are Latest Players Spotted In Next-Gen adidas Predator

We’ve already had a pretty decent look at the new whiteout prototype adidas Predator, but now attention switches from the boot itself on to more who’s wearing them, with Jude Bellingham lacing them up for a recent Real Madrid training session.

Jude Bellingham is hot right now; everything the midfielder touches seems to turn to gold, whether that’s for Real Madrid or England, and that’s emphasised by a string of Man of the Match awards over the last few months. As a result, adidas must be rubbing their hands together at the prospect of what he's capable of and the potential he has (he's still only 20...), and a big reason for that comes down to the fact that the Three Stripes have been lacking a premium level face for their most iconic silo, arguably since its return back in late 2017.

Yes there was Paul Pogba, but Bellingham is potentially talented enough to take up the mantle vacated and never truly filled by Beckham and Zidane, and the sight of him wearing the new Predator and opting for the returning fold-over tongue variation for what is shaping up to be a far more traditional take on the Predator silo is a tantalising one.

Moving on from Bellingham, and Liverpool’s Joe Gomez has given us a first look at the tongue-less laced option. It lines up with the version Bellingham is wearing and the laceless option first spotted on the feet of Chelsea’s Ian Maatsen, ensuring that their are options for all, no matter a player’s preference.

As well as the option of the fold-over tongue, the new Predator also sees the return of a rubber fin execution in the forefoot, which looks like it’s been lifted straight off of the Precision and Mania era boots, lending to the throwback feel of the new design.
