adidas Launch Sobakov Boost X SVD

Bringing some hefty World Cup ’82 vibes to the table, adidas Consortium has teamed up with Barcelona-based retailer Sivadescalzo to launch the Sobakov Boost x SVD, giving the Predator-inspired silo a colourful look inspired by the official mascot of the 1982 World Cup, Naranjito.

The Sobakov recently got a revamp for 2019, with adidas introducing Boost to the popular sneaker along with some Accelerator-inspired stripes that replaced the previous Precision picks, keeping the look fresh and appealing for its second year. And now, hot on the Boost-clad heels of that initial release we get a first collaboration, bringing a unique Spanish flavour to the shoe.

The Sobakov x SVD is inspired by the Spain ’82 mascot, Naranjito, with the most noticeable nod to the orange orb being in the midfoot, which features bold orange suede stripes above a green mesh base. The forefoot is a black mesh that ties in with the black Boost heel unit, while a white tongue nods to previous football boots.
