Nike Launch Tiempo Legend V

Tiempo legend gets a redesign with new model

Nike have officially revealed their completely re-designed Nike Tiempo Legend V. Incorporating new technology, innovative concepts and wrapped up in a Vivid Desert Sand/Black/Orange launch colourway the new Tiempo lands as the silo's fifth generation and most advanced yet.

Almost 20 years since the first ever model the Nike Tiempo has become a hallmark for leadership, confidence and quality on the pitch. The Nike Tiempo Legend V takes the same spirit that existed in '94 and delivers on over two decades of performance football innovation and masterful touch.

The Nike Tiempo Legend V has been two and a half years in the making; Nike have reshaped the boot, added improved comfort and increased the overall performance by enhancing their own theories and innovations.

The forefront on the upper of the Tiempo Legend V is crafted from Kangaroo leather, which offers protection, comfort and optimal natural touch in all conditions using Nike's ACC technology found on the later versions of the previous model. The orange instep of the boot is made of a lightweight Kanga-Lite material and designed using Nike's Hypershield technology, which blocks moisture for a snug fit that lasts. Less moisture absorption means less weight and greater comfort to give you confidence in your touch in all conditions.

The Tiempo Legend V uses characteristics from the Nike Ronaldinho Dois, a boot launched in 2008 that featured a luxurious quilted K-leather upper with an increased clean strike zone designed to offer a larger striking zone and a maximum point of contact for the king of first touch.

Nike have worked on the fit of the boot by ensuring the Tiempo Legend V is closer to the foot to improve comfort. By reducing material layers Nike have been able to place the foot lower to the ground and in doing so have banished any distractions.

Nike have engineered a soleplate designed to move with your foot for stability, traction and comfort. The responsive chassis amplifies movements allowing the foot to perform at its greatest efficiency and by adding stability and traction in key areas minimises the chance of slipping on the turn.

Nike have purposefully adopted an unexpected change in style, a strong colour block creates an element of disruption and audacity on the boot to reel in new admirers and leverage the legacy of the silo.
