Following the reveal of the limited tease edition on Boxing Day, PUMA have officially launched the Future 7 Ultimate FTR, which arrives as the headliner of the brand’s ‘Phenomenal Pack’.
Continuing a trend that the brand have been known to follow from time to time, PUMA unveiled the latest generation of its Future silo through a limited ‘Tease’ edition, which arrived on Boxing Day as a late Christmas gift to us all. Now, the Future 7 Ultimate FTR is given its full release, arriving as the headliner from the ‘Phenomenal Pack’, with the Ultra Ultimate and King Ultimate playing a supporting role in new colourways, giving the spotlight to the all-new Future.
Presented in a “Puma White/Puma Black/Poison Pink” colourway, the boot boasts a host of tech improvements. A completely revamped FUZIONFIT360 system with revised PWRTAPE and PWRPRINT positioning lock the foot in like never before while providing the ultimate in comfort.
The PWRTAPE now comes in the shape of a Y instead of the previous zig zag, while the PWRPRINT on the lateral and medial sides offers additional support during dynamic changes of direction, combining with the dual layers of PWRTAPE across the midfoot to provide the pinnacle of lockdown essential for the art of playmaking. That lockdown is combined with the extra stretchy knit of the upper, which provides an adaptive, snug fit with enhanced freedom of movement. Comfort well and truly covered. And so for control...
The Future 7 boasts 3D grip textures at critical ball contact zones, ensuring the ultimate in control and precision. The textured dots on the instep of the boot have different levels of thickness to provide more stability or flexibility in key areas.
On the underside, the Dynamic Motion System outsole includes an advanced stud configuration for a perfect harmony of support, traction, and explosive agility. High-performance materials are strategically utilised to enhance energy return while minimising weight.
Aesthetically, the boot features a predominantly white base, with ethereal whisps of pink and blue floating through the upper. Black accents for the branding contrast with the base, allowing them to stand out, while pink then features more prominently on the forefoot of the soleplate.

PUMA's roster of Future athletes will be switching into this version from now, so expect to see the likes of Jack Grealish, Julia Grosso, Kai Havertz, Laia Aleixandri, Neymar and James Maddison (when both of the latter are fit) in them.

The Future is then complemented by the speed of the Ultra Ultimate and precision and control of the King Ultimate to form the Phenomenal Pack. The Ultra comes in a "Poison Pink/Puma White/Puma Black", with pink as the main base colour, the thread that ties all three boots together in the pack. For the King, the pink is only an accent in the "Electric Lime/Puma Black/Poison Pink" colourway, but present nonetheless.
