Reverting to a more classic yet contemporary look for the iconic Hechter stripe, Nike and PSG have lifted the veil on the club’s new home shirt for the 24/25 season, which is set to get its debut by both the men’s and women’s teams this weekend.

With this weekend set to see the final fixtures of the 23/24 season for both the Paris Saint-Germain men’s and women’s teams at the Parc Des Princes, it’s the perfect time for Nike to reveal the new home kits for the club for the 24/25 campaign. The new-but-old look sees the signature Hechter stripe reverting to a more traditional presentation in terms of both its central positioning and its colour execution. But, it wouldn’t be a PSG shirt without a contemporary twist now, would it…

That twist comes in the form of the almost hand-painted look of the Hechter stripe, which has been incorporated to reflect Paris’ culture of creativity and to accentuate the feeling of French finesse. The shirt further celebrates its connection to the nation through the outer pride detail on the rear of the neck, which sees the famous tricolore flag detailing.

The traditional placement and colour formation (red central stripe bordered by white) of the Hechter stripe has been missing since the 2020/21 season, with it being a common element with which the Nike design team have experimented over the years. But it appears that the fans have been heard, particularly the Ultras, and so it’s a more classic looking PSG shirt for the 24/25 season.

The jersey incorporates Nike's latest high-performance technology, Dri-FIT ADV, designed to enhance athletic performance. It was developed at the Nike Sport Research Lab (NSRL) in Beaverton, Oregon, using advanced body mapping technologies like 4D data analysis and computational methods.

The kit will be debuted by the PSG Women's team in their game against Paris FC, with the PSG Men's side wearing it on Sunday, 12 May 2024, against Toulouse.
