Nike Launch Tiempo '94 Trainers

Nike re-invent the iconic Tiempo Football Boot for everyday use.

Launching alongside the re-designed Nike Tiempo Legend V football boots is the Tiempo '94 trainer, a new shoe for everyday style that draws inspiration from the heritage of Nike’s first ever Tiempo Premier.

During the 1994 World Cup final nearly half of the players on pitch wore the Nike Tiempo Premier, possibly one of the best looking football boots ever to be released. Nike continue to draw inspiration from iconic boot with releases such as the Nike Premier football boots and now the Tiempo '94 trainers.

Embodying the spirit of the Tiempo name, the Nike Tiempo ‘94 trainers reinterpret the boots for everyday use. Featuring a black stitched leather upper, contrasting white swoosh, and suede overlays, it is clear to see the new shoes take direct inspiration from the Tiempo Premier's classic football aesthetic.

Nike have transformed the original studded outsole into something useable away from the pitch by replacing it with a premium gum cup sole fitted with a coloured Phylon midsole for lightweight cushioning. Exposed flex grooves designed to maximize comfort and natural motion for the wearer have also been added.

When it comes to trainers though, the most important aspect is their looks and the Tiempo '94's are definitely a winner in that department. Available in both mid and low edition's, the shoes also feature an oversized, removable tongue and stitched yellow heel swoosh that pays homage to Nike football's birth and the traditional craft associated with the Tiempo.
